Giving Season: Music & Passion

Music is a love language for me. When I give it, I'm sharing the most honest and valuable thing I can. In my world, understanding each other through hearts and spirits and bodies is vital to balance mental cognitive understanding. And music vibrates into all those places.

Yet when I express myself by sharing music, many seem bewildered, even unresponsive. As if it's unfathomable or awkward that I’d choose music as a way to share my thoughts, feelings and perspectives…

Works of art are of an infinite loneliness and with nothing so little to be reached as with criticism. Only love can grasp and hold and be just toward them.

-Rainer Maria Rilke

Ok, so my belly and heart know it (ouch): In those awkward moments, LOVE is not where it’s at.

Passion bridges the gap between cultural assumption and vulnerable abundance.

Music is my deepest passion.

So this season when all these greetings and ads and church bells scream that Giving is where it’s at…

I give music.

That's the thing about sharing music. It is an extension of passion, which is why it can single-handedly cause you unspeakable happiness at one moment and unbelievable pain the next. However, whether it's an opportunity for pain or not, it is still a formidable way of showing love.

I'm a deeply languaged, hypercurious musician / mother / human animal who tried for so long to not be any of these thingsβ€” or sometimes to simplify into one alone, and not be the rest. Now through project jelinora, I'm sharing my Whole Voice for the first time.
