This LOVE letter is addressed to the countless women and femmes who have unconditionally supported my creative work— which is a situation so ordinary I’ve only gradually come to realize just how extraordinary it is.
Many, many You…
Supremely notable in your plurality. An integral, essential element among multitudes who brave resisting the dominant narrative.
You take that pile of dogshit and you clean it up. You find a tiny thread unraveling and set aside time to weave it back into the Whole. You turn the most grown-up stifled school play into an epic adventure film. You have plenty of ideas on what to do with all these lemons.
Just LOOK at all the things about our society which set us up as women and femmes to compete, to withhold admiration from each other, to bolster each other only if we ourselves might gain a status enhancement.
Yet we keep shining for each other. I can see your colors and your glow! even from my bedroom on this very night! You are a marvel and a revelation. You deserve a hundred grand prizes, a thousand medals and a million standing ovations. You have already secured your crown.
I wish I could Name you all right here. I will continue to Name you in my private prayers and public praises. For now, this blog will list those of some femmergy who have LOVEed extra hard on project jelinora.
